Inspired by music groups from Seattle's suburbs, the so called grunge scene of the ‘90s, such as Nirvana, Melvins and Mudhoney, The Violet Sheep began their musical experience with original compositions characterized by a dense and morbid sound. Their music is also influenced by the arid Palm Desert in Southern California, home of Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age and Fu Manchu. The Violet Sheep's musical project was initiated in 2004 and began by developing an audience in pubs and bars in the area surrounding the village of Caldonazzo, in the province of Trento, Italy. The trio is composed of Daniel, Mic (Michele) and Bambi (Francesco) - respectively bass and voice, drums, and solo guitar. They recorded their debut album "Tortured Soul" in 2011 which was produced by Cristiano Santini in collaboration with Alkemist Fanatix.
