Some Forgive
An half-hour-long teaser for Gaz Reynolds' full-length debut, Orgazmic, due in early 2006, Some Forgive is the culmination of five years' worth of increasingly fine Hi-NRG dance singles. "Some Forgive (Radio Edit)" has the sparkly gloss of a forgotten classic mid-'80s club hit, complete with a soaring, positive chorus. The two remixes are in fact complete reinventions, "Some Forgive (Eternal Aspiration Mix)" being an ambient dub only nominally related to the original song. Of the two remaining songs, "Plastic Girl 2005" is an inessential semi-remake of a 2000 single that had already been drastically overhauled in 2003, but "Where Will You Go (Pre-Eminence Anthem Mix)" transforms a different earlier single into an explosive, fractured recasting that has the giddy charm of some of Trevor Horn's more playful remixes from his mid-'80s peak.
Electric Kama Sutra
"Gaz Reynolds returns with an awesome package of mixes on this, his latest single Electric Kama Sutra. The track is written and performed by the man himself and has been remixed by none other than Ross Alexander (Boyz With Toyz / Northernbeat), The Sleazesisters (Steps, Five Star, Kelly Llorenna) and Cybersound. This track is already gaining massive radio support in the States and we are quietly confident that Gaz may have a hit on his hands here with this electro inspired original track."
